What is Split Fiction?
Split Fiction is a co-op action adventure developed exclusively for two players by Hazelight Studios, the makers of It Takes Two and A Way Out. At its heart are aspiring authors Mio and Zoe, who get caught in a machine meant to steal their creative ideas and, as a result, become trapped in the worlds of their own stories.
The adventure constantly switches between science fiction and fantasy. Both players must coordinate their actions, combine different abilities and work together to get through platforming, puzzle, combat and skill sections.

Gameplay
Every world introduces new mechanics. Split Fiction combines platforming, puzzles, combat, stealth, vehicles and constantly changing special abilities, among other things. The tasks are consistently built around two roles: often both players see different parts of a situation or get abilities that only work together.
Hazelight uses the switch between Mio's science fiction and Zoe's fantasy stories to constantly change rules and pacing – from futuristic motorbikes and anti-gravity sections to dragons, shape-shifting and unusual boss encounters.
