Tetris Effect: Mixed Realities

Tetris Effect: Mixed Realities is a standalone mixed reality reinterpretation of Tetris Effect. Instead of placing the playing field only in front of a virtual backdrop, the game uses passthrough to bring your real room into the staging and turns it into audiovisual scenes.

Tetris Effect: Mixed Realities is expected in 2027. Enhance is developing it as a standalone new Tetris game for mixed reality, not as an additional update to Tetris Effect: Connected.

Tetris Effect: Mixed Realities is coming to Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest 3S and Meta VR Glasses. The game is announced for these devices and uses their mixed reality features with passthrough and hand tracking.

The basic principle remains Tetris: tetriminos are rotated and assembled into complete lines. The new version combines this puzzle gameplay with mixed reality, passthrough and hand tracking. The real environment becomes part of the presentation, while players interact with the blocks without classic controllers.

Enhance gives examples of rooms that transform into a deep-sea aquarium or a distant space station. Each placed tetrimino creates transitions into other dimensions, so real room geometry and virtual effects deliberately blend together.
