Gameplay

The combat system separates offense and defense. Normal attacks use no stamina, while dodging and blocking draw on the stamina reserve. Abilities work with cooldowns.

Five weapon styles – including sword and shield, quarterstaff, daggers, two-handed weapons and longsword – each have their own skill trees. This lets you combine different playstyles without a fixed classic character class.

Progression through relics

Instead of classic character levels, The Relic relies on equipment and relics. More than 70 passive relic effects change abilities and combat pace. Five weapon types, each with its own skill tree, can be combined with these effects to create different builds.
