The Wolf Among Us Remastered

The Wolf Among Us Remastered is the technically and visually reworked remaster of Telltale's episodic noir adventure. It again centres on Bigby Wolf, sheriff of Fabletown, who investigates a murder. The story covers the five episodes Faith, Smoke and Mirrors, A Crooked Mile, In Sheep’s Clothing and Cry Wolf.

The Wolf Among Us Remastered was released on Oct 29, 2026, for PC, PS5 and Xbox One. PC players can get the digital version via Steam and Epic Games Store. Xbox Series X|S plays the Xbox One version via backward compatibility. The Nintendo Switch versions will follow at a later date.

Physical editions on several platforms are also planned for early 2027. No exact release date has been given.

Native versions are available for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox One. The Xbox One version works on Xbox Series X|S via backward compatibility, without requiring a separate native Series version.

The planned Nintendo Switch versions have been delayed. No new release date for Switch or Switch 2 has been announced.

As Bigby Wolf, you investigate murders and secrets in Fabletown across five episodes. You question suspects, search for clues and make choices that affect characters and scenes. Telltale confirms that key choices from the remaster can be carried over to The Wolf Among Us 2 via a Telltale account.

According to Steam, the PC version requires at least Windows 10 64-bit, 8 GB RAM, a Core 2 Quad Q6600 or AMD Phenom II X4 910, and a GeForce GTX 470 or Radeon HD 5870. This configuration should allow 1080p on low details at 30 frames per second.

For 1080p and 60 FPS on high details, Steam lists Windows 11, a Core i3-8100 or Ryzen 3 2300X, and a GTX 1050 Ti or Radeon RX 6400 with 4 GB graphics memory. German menus and subtitles are listed, but German voice audio is not.

The remaster brings reworked graphics, character and environment design, a modernised user interface, improved accessibility features, and improvements to animation, audio, resolution and frame rate. There is also more than an hour of bonus material, including behind-the-scenes videos, interviews, galleries and deleted scenes.

The additional Noir Mode shows Fabletown in black and white. Game director Matt Saia describes it as a deliberately pure film noir interpretation rather than a version with individual colour accents.

Key choices from The Wolf Among Us Remastered can carry over into The Wolf Among Us 2. To do this, sign in with your Telltale account while playing the remaster. If you start with the second game, you can set earlier choices yourself at the start and don't need to play the remaster first.
