Gameplay

Meve travels with her entourage through various regions, investigates places, collects resources and faces enemies. Battles play out turn-based on a card board. Troop cards and abilities form a deck that can be adjusted for new situations. Some encounters change the victory conditions and work like tactical puzzles.

Queen Meve vs. Nilfgaard

When Nilfgaard's troops threaten the Northern Kingdoms, Meve must forge alliances and reclaim her homeland. Conversations and events repeatedly confront her with decisions that affect the fate of her companions. The focus is on a standalone story apart from Geralt's personal adventure.

Decisions with consequences

The choice between military advantage, loyalty and moral principles has consequences for the journey. Some decisions change who accompanies Meve, what options she has later and how the story develops. The game thereby ties the plot to the makeup of her army.

Resources and war camp

On the campaign, Meve gathers gold, wood and recruits. These resources are used to expand the war camp and military development. The card deck represents the available units and special abilities, while new cards allow additional tactical combinations.

Puzzles and special battles

Apart from regular battles, there are card puzzles with fixed starting positions. Instead of collecting as many points as possible, players must solve a specific task within limited turns. This adds variety to the turn-based encounters.
