Wallruns, double jumps and grappling

Pilots can run along walls, change direction in the air and bridge large gaps. Their speed makes the environment part of the fights: whoever uses cover and height differences has different attack routes than a Titan. Depending on equipment, tactical abilities add to the movement system.

Titans differ in weaponry, protective functions and combat range. The original six models include Ion, Scorch, Northstar, Ronin, Tone and Legion. The later-added Monarch develops its abilities during a fight through core upgrades. The larger machines play noticeably more slowly than their pilots, but can control entire sections of combat.

Pilot or Titan: two combat rhythms

As a pilot, speed, vertical routes and precise aiming matter. A Titan controls areas with heavy weapons, defensive systems and special core abilities. Repeatedly getting in and out changes the tactical options without the campaign splitting into two separate games.
