Valor Mortis

Valor Mortis is a first-person action RPG with a Soulslike structure from One More Level. The game blends an alternate version of the 19th century with supernatural elements.

Valor Mortis releases on Oct 13, 2026. The planned launch covers PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Confirmed are PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The PS5 version supports the vibration and trigger features of the DualSense controller.

Valor Mortis features precise melee combat from a first-person perspective, evasive maneuvers and historical firearms. It also adds supernatural abilities and free-roaming exploration with shortcuts and new routes, reminiscent of Metroidvania structures.

For the Windows version, AMD lists Windows 11 (64-bit), 16 GB RAM, Ryzen 7 3700X and Radeon RX 6700 as the minimum configuration. DirectX 12 and 50 GB on an SSD are required. The details come from AMD's official game presentation and describe a specific AMD hardware configuration, not measured performance figures.

AMD recommends a Ryzen 7 7700, 16 GB RAM and a Radeon RX 7900 GRE. Here too, 50 GB of SSD storage is listed. These PC specs cannot simply be applied to other graphics cards, the PS5 or Xbox Series consoles.

The story takes place in an alternate version of Napoleonic Europe. William Dowsett wakes up without a clear memory of his past and is caught between Napoleon's empire and Shrike's resistance. A mysterious plague and supernatural changes shape the world.

The core ensemble includes William Dowsett, Napoleon Bonaparte, rebel leader Shrike, James Stewart and Lucjan Skawiński. Vincent Cassel voices Napoleon. The current cast also lists James Alexander as William, Jennifer English as Shrike and Adam “Nergal” Darski as Captain Raphael.

The first-person combat system emphasizes parries, quick dodges and targeted finishing attacks. Different weapons are combined with supernatural abilities. William also uses the power altered by the plague to strengthen existing attacks and unlock new abilities.

Movement is not only for combat. Increased mobility helps you explore devastated locations and find shortcuts and secrets. This is a single-player action RPG, not a co-op multiplayer game.

Steam offers German menus and subtitles, while full voice acting is only offered in English. The PC version supports controllers and Steam Cloud. According to the PlayStation Store, the PS5 version is designed for one player and supports vibration and adaptive triggers on the DualSense controller.

Game Pass and cloud streaming are distribution and access methods, not additional native platform versions. Confirmed are the standalone releases for Windows PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
