ZERO PARADES: For Dead Spies is a story-driven espionage RPG from ZA/UM. The focus is on Hershel Wilk, codename CASCADE, who returns to Portofiro five years after a disastrous mission. There, she is meant to piece together a broken agent network and gets caught in a power struggle between political, economic and ideological forces.
Instead of classic combat, the game mainly lives on conversations, exploration, skill checks and decisions. Hershel's mental state is part of the system: Fatigue, Anxiety and Delirium affect her options and can be deliberately risked to turn difficult situations in her favour.

Release
ZERO PARADES: For Dead Spies released on PC on May 21, 2026. Since Oct 1, 2026, the Director's Cut has been available as a free update for Steam, GOG and Epic Games Store.
The expanded version adds around 40,000 words, the Dramatic Encounter sequence Quisach Roundabout, a backstage mode with insights into development, and new outfits and interactions. It also brings an expanded English voice-over, improved controls and additional accessibility options.
On Nov 3, 2026, the Director's Cut also releases for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S. The consoles get the additional content right at launch. On Windows PC, the game is also offered via the Xbox distribution platform.

ZERO PARADES: For Dead Spies is available on PC and releases on Nov 3, 2026 for PS5, Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S. The three console versions launch natively and include the Director's Cut. On PC, the free upgrade is already available.
No separate version has been announced for PlayStation 4, Xbox One or the original Nintendo Switch.

Gameplay
ZERO PARADES relies on a dialogue- and decision-driven CRPG system. Hershel has 15 skills that open different approaches to conversations, investigations and conflicts. Through Conditioning, beliefs and personality traits can be reinforced, which changes new options and in some cases even the rules of individual situations.
Particularly important are the Pressures Fatigue, Anxiety and Delirium. With Exertion, Hershel can accept extra pressure to get better chances at skill checks. Dramatic Encounters freeze critical situations and give you time to weigh possible actions and their consequences. Failures do not automatically end a scene; instead, they can open up new paths and consequences.
