BLEACH Rebirth of Souls

BLEACH Rebirth of Souls is an action fighting game with one-on-one duels from Tite Kubo's anime and manga world. Players control Ichigo Kurosaki, Rukia Kuchiki and Sōsuke Aizen, among others, and use special sword techniques.

The game combines a story campaign with local and online duels. Each character has their own reach, moves and options for turning a lost fight around.

BLEACH Rebirth of Souls was released on March 21, 2025 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The Steam version was unlocked in some regions as early as March 20.

Developer is Tamsoft, publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment.

BLEACH Rebirth of Souls has been released natively for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Players on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 can compete online against each other. There is no crossplay between the other platforms.

No native version has been released for Xbox One.

BLEACH Rebirth of Souls focuses on one-on-one fights. Movement, reach and recognizing enemy attacks determine which technique makes sense in the next moment.

Characters differ in their special abilities. If you lure the opponent into an unsuitable action, you get the chance for an effective combination.

Four additional characters expand the fighter selection beyond the base game. These include Ichigo from the Thousand-Year Blood War arc, Retsu Unohana, Ichibē Hyōsube and Yhwach.

The characters are part of the Season Pass and are also sold individually. There are also additional costumes and Soul Crystals.

The Windows version requires at least 16 GB RAM and 75 GB of storage. For higher graphics settings, Bandai Namco recommends an SSD.

The campaign follows Ichigo Kurosaki from the start of his time as a Soul Reaper to the conflict with Sōsuke Aizen. Its story leads through Soul Society to the Arrancar.

Further episodes tell selected events from the perspective of supporting characters.

A duel ends when a fighter has lost all their Konpaku. The Konpaku represent their remaining lives. At first, hits reduce the Reishi bar. In favorable moments, a Kikon technique can knock out several Konpaku at once.

This sets the fights apart from a standard health bar. A hit at the right moment carries more weight than a long series of weak attacks.

Up to two people can compete locally or online. Cross-play online between PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 is possible, but not between other platforms.

The base game offers more than 30 well-known characters from BLEACH. These include Ichigo, Rukia, Yoruichi, Uryū Ishida and Grimmjow. Each character has different abilities and reach.

During a duel, characters collect fighting spirit and can use Awakening to boost their abilities. This changes certain attacks. Some characters can use special techniques such as Bankai.

BLEACH Rebirth of Souls includes German on-screen text and subtitles. Voice audio is offered in English and Japanese. Other text languages include French, Italian, Spanish and Korean.

The Standard Edition contains the base game. Deluxe additionally includes a Season Pass for four characters as well as digital Soul Crystal sets. Ultimate adds more costumes and crystals.

The content differs by edition. If you already own Deluxe or Ultimate, you receive the characters included in it via the matching pass.

Reverse Actions let you change the course of an attack chain. Soul Reverse restores energy, Chain Reverse extends your own combos and Burst Reverse interrupts the opponent.
