Your own character and football career
In Episode: New Hero, your career begins with a player you create yourself. Over the course of the story, skills are developed and relationships are built with the familiar characters. Your team and the special techniques you learn determine how your character plays on the pitch later on.

Game modes and competitions
Alongside the story campaigns, there are free matches, versus battles and online competitions. The focus is on sporting duels with the teams and characters from the series. Which multiplayer options you can use depends on the platform and the specific mode.

Graphics, controls and presentation
Comic-style character models, pop-up special moves and dynamic camera movements aim to carry the anime style onto the pitch. The controls are built around direct actions such as passing, sprinting, dribbling and shooting. The focus is on spectacular matches rather than a classic football simulation.
