What is Blind Descent?

Gameplay
The cycle of exploration and preparation leads through different cave biomes. Players scan alien lifeforms, collect resources, craft tools and restore the abandoned base of the vanished expedition. Plants and fungi can reclaim a neglected shelter.
The most unusual mechanic is the choice between technical equipment and biological change: mutations give the team new abilities and access. Storms, toxic gases and alien creatures each call for different solutions, according to the developer. How well the systems mesh will have to be shown in the playable version.

What is planned until version 1.0
Pokuch sees Early Access as a development phase with community feedback. Among other things, additional story sections, regions, creatures and resources are to be added. The final version is meant to include the complete story. A roughly one-year period is named as a provisional goal, explicitly not as a confirmed release date.
