Edge of Memories

Edge of Memories is an action RPG by Midgar Studio and NACON set in the universe of Edge of Eternity. At its center is Eline, a wandering soul whisperer on the continent of Avaris. A plague called corrosion is changing plants, animals and people and threatens to wipe out the region’s nomadic peoples.

After a puzzling encounter, Eline discovers that she can control the corrosion in her own body. Together with her mentor Ysoris and the shaman prince Kanta, she searches for a way to stop its spread. The story again takes place in the world of Heryon but is designed as a standalone adventure.

Edge of Memories is set to release on Dec 3, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The previously stated Nov 5, 2026 date was postponed on Oct 13 by the official game account. NACON confirmed the new date on Oct 15.

An updated PC demo is announced for early November, with improvements to combat and accessibility. A specific demo date is still missing.

Edge of Memories is released natively for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The PC version is offered via Steam. On Xbox, the game also supports Xbox Play Anywhere. A version for PlayStation 4, Xbox One or Nintendo Switch is not announced.

Combat runs entirely in real time. Eline combines light and heavy attacks into fast combo chains, dodges enemy attacks and brings Ysoris and Kanta directly into the fight through their elemental abilities. If Eline’s rage rises high enough, she can unleash the corrosion within her body and temporarily transform into a powerful black beast.

The group also works together outside of combat. Eline travels through Avaris on a Nekaroo, climbs walls with it and reaches higher areas. Companion abilities open blocked paths or help with puzzles. With so-called Echoes, new combinations of passive effects and abilities can be created, which can be saved in several sets and switched during play.

The corrosion changes the game world as the story progresses. Areas you have already visited can visibly transform as a result and unlock new routes.

For the PC version, NACON currently lists Windows 10, DirectX 12 and 40 GB of free storage space. The minimum is an Intel Core i3-12100F or AMD Ryzen 5 1600, 16 GB RAM and a GeForce GTX 1060 with 6 GB or Radeon RX Vega 56 with 8 GB. Recommended are an Intel Core i9-9900K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, 16 GB RAM and a GeForce RTX 3080 with 10 GB or Radeon RX 6800 XT with 16 GB.
