FreeStyle Football 2 is a fast arcade football game by developer WOORE and publisher JOYCITY. In online matches, two teams of five people each take part. Unlike classic football simulations, each person controls a fixed character during play, with their own role and individual abilities.

Key factors are passing routes, defensive coordination, special moves and the interplay of roles. In addition to multiplayer matches, the game follows the chapter-based stories of its characters on the fictional island of Lana.

The regular release of FreeStyle Football 2 is announced for December 3, 2026. Steam and the PlayStation Store list this date. Buyers of the Deluxe or Ultimate Edition should be able to play from November 30, 2026. This edition-specific early access is not the same as the general release.

A public beta with crossplay already took place in September 2026. It served to test the upcoming game and should be distinguished from the paid full version now on offer.

The confirmed native releases are Windows PC (Steam), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The Xbox Store explicitly names Xbox Series X|S, not Xbox One. On PS5, up to ten online players are listed, and PlayStation Plus is required for online matches.

Steam lists cross-platform multiplayer, and the developers already confirmed playing together between PC, PlayStation and Xbox during the public beta. Store and account terms remain platform-dependent.

In the football game FreeStyle Football 2, two teams of five people face each other. Each person controls their own character instead of managing the whole team. Special character abilities add to passes, dribbling, shots and defensive actions. Different formations allow offensive pressing as well as counterattacks from your own half.

The game design combines fast arcade action with tactical teamwork. Steam lists online competitions, online co-op and cross-platform matches as ongoing features.

The Steam version requires Windows 10 64-bit, a CPU on the level of an Intel Core i5-9400 or AMD Ryzen 5 3500X, 16 GB RAM, a GeForce GTX 1650 or Radeon RX 6400, and 60 GB of free storage. Broadband internet is required.

Recommended are Windows 11, Core i5-12400 or Ryzen 5 5600, and a GeForce RTX 2070 or Radeon RX 5700. According to the store, RAM stays at 16 GB even in the recommended configuration. Steam also lists Easy Anti-Cheat for the PC client.

On Steam, nine languages are listed for the user interface and subtitles, including German, English, Korean, Japanese, French and Spanish. For voice-over, only English and Korean are listed there; German voice-over is not.

On PS5, Sony lists, among other things, readable text, subtitles, volume controls, 3D audio, basic alternative button mapping, a practice mode and quick chat. These specific PS5 features are not automatically confirmed for the PC or Xbox client.

FreeStyle Football 2 is offered as a paid full version in several editions. Standard includes the base game. Deluxe and Ultimate additionally include, among other things, early access for the three days before the regular launch on December 3, cosmetic packs, recruitment tickets and in-game items. The Ultimate Edition adds further premium content.

The free Prime beta clients are not part of these paid versions. Short-term pre-order offers and live prices are not permanent game features and are therefore not listed as fixed amounts on this page.

FreeStyle Football 2 is set on the artificial island Lana. Alongside the online competitions, a chapter-based single-player mode is set to tell the characters’ stories and backgrounds. The PlayStation Store gives a planned playtime of 10 to 20 hours. This figure is a publisher promise and not playtime measured by Gameforest.

The official Steam page confirms single-player content in addition to online co-op and PvP. The story mode is therefore part of the announced base game and not purely time-limited beta content.

The match format includes five players per team. Character-specific abilities, positions and formation-based decisions make coordination important. According to the PlayStation Store, up to ten people can take part in a match. A PlayStation Plus subscription is required there for online matches.

JOYCITY has confirmed cross-platform testing between PC, Xbox and PlayStation for September 2026. The regular Steam product also lists Cross-Platform Multiplayer. Competitive leagues and club tournaments are planned for ongoing play; detailed season dates are not permanent features of the game yet.

The game is developed by WOORE and published by JOYCITY. The title continues the character-focused football approach of the FreeStyle series and works with heavily stylised stadiums, trick-focused ball play and individual character abilities.
