Golf With Your Friends

Golf With Your Friends is a mini golf game for up to twelve people. Everyone can hit their balls online at the same time instead of waiting for each other. The courses take you through fantasy worlds, pirate areas, space settings and other themed worlds.

Golf With Your Friends was released on May 19, 2020 as a full game for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. On Steam it had already been available in Early Access since January 2016.

Golf With Your Friends is out on Windows PC, macOS, Linux, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. On PC, the level editor and community courses from the Steam Workshop are available.

Every shot starts with choosing direction and power. On many courses, though, short, precise shots alone won't get you to the goal: jump pads, moving obstacles and unusual shortcuts require you to predict where the ball will go.

Power-ups can trap other balls, freeze them or turn them into cubes. If you prefer a classic round, you can change many additional rules in the lobby settings.

Several add-ons add extra themed courses. These include Bouncy Castle, Peaceful Pines, Corrupted Forest and Olympus Odyssey. Other packs add hats, trails and other customisations for the golf ball.

The base game is required for extra courses. Editions such as the Ultimate Edition bundle some of these add-ons.

On Windows, Steam lists at least an Intel Core i3-2100 or AMD FX-6300, 2 GB RAM, a GeForce GTX 460, Radeon HD 6870 or Intel HD Graphics 630, and 4 GB storage. Recommended are a Core i5-6600 or FX-8350, 4 GB RAM and a GeForce GTX 960 or Radeon R9 280.

The original details mention Windows 7, but the current Steam client requires Windows 10 or later. macOS and Linux have their own hardware and OS requirements.

Up to twelve people can play a round of mini golf online, with the balls in play at the same time. Locally, Golf With Your Friends can be played on one device in hotseat mode. Players take turns using the controls.

On PC, Steam also supports Remote Play Together. This lets you share playing together on one device over the internet.

In classic mode, the aim is to get the ball in the hole in as few strokes as possible. Basketball replaces the hole with a hoop, while hockey uses a goal instead of a flag. The switch changes which angles and shot strengths are most useful on a course.

Optionally, power-ups and altered surfaces add extra obstacles.

The PC version includes a level editor. Players can build their own mini-golf courses, save them and share them with others via the Steam Workshop. There you can also download courses designed by the community.

Golf With Your Friends offers courses with their own obstacles and clearly recognizable themes. These include pirate areas, space settings and a world built around the Worms series. The courses differ not only visually: new hazards, unusual routes and changing environments shape every course.

On Steam, German menus and on-screen text are available. Golf With Your Friends doesn't need a spoken storyline to teach the courses and rules.
