Kena: Scars of Kosmora

Kena: Scars of Kosmora is the direct sequel to Kena: Bridge of Spirits. As an experienced spirit guide, Kena travels to the island of Kosmora to find answers to a suffering from her childhood. Ember Lab describes the game as a character-focused, linear action adventure with greater scope and more room for exploration.

Ember Lab has postponed the release of Kena: Scars of Kosmora to 2027. An exact date is not yet set.

Confirmed are PlayStation 5 and PC. On PS5 the game releases digitally and physically, on PC digitally only.

The combat system builds on the third-person battles of the predecessor and expands Kena's abilities with elemental powers, new combat techniques and spirit companions. The companions develop over the course of the adventure, help in combat and are also used to solve puzzles. Alchemystic temples are designed as standalone dungeon experiences and combine combat, exploration and puzzles with lasting rewards.

Kosmora consists of several regions and living cultures with their own traditions, conflicts and elements. Four interconnected cultures once shaped the island; one of them was lost in a catastrophe. The remaining regions still carry this past in architecture, rituals and their element references.

A crystalline, dog-like spirit accompanies Kena through Kosmora. It serves as a mount, supports her in combat and helps with Alchemystic puzzles. The companion is therefore a lasting game system for movement, combat and exploration.
