What is LEGO Builder's Journey?

LEGO Builder's Journey is an atmospheric puzzle adventure in which you change small landscapes made of LEGO bricks. Rather than directly steering characters across a board, you place individual bricks so that new paths and transitions emerge.

The story tells, without long dialogue, of a parent and their child. Their playing together and later separation give the puzzles a personal meaning.

Gameplay

The camera looks at small dioramas. You pick up individual bricks and place them in suitable spots to build stairs, bridges or other transitions. This lets the characters continue their journey.

The tasks often leave room for experimenting. Not every solution follows a fixed build guide: what matters is whether your construction changes the environment in the way you want.

The story of parent and child

A parent and their child discover a world made of LEGO bricks together. Playful outings gradually turn into challenges that pull the two characters apart and later bring them back together.

The story relies mainly on movement, light, music and the design of the landscapes. Longer dialogue is not the focus.

Turn, place and combine bricks

Each task centers on small baseplates and individual LEGO elements. You turn and reposition the bricks to bridge gaps and turn the surroundings into a walkable structure.

Sometimes several parts have to work together. The visible structure of the dioramas helps you judge possible positions and paths.

Your own LEGO models in creative mode

In creative mode you can design your own creations independently of the story. Various themed baseplates and a selection of LEGO bricks offer room for vehicles, small landscapes and free experiments.

This way, Light Brick Studio adds an area to the set puzzles where you can build without a fixed goal.

The Xbox Series version is also optimized for modern graphics features. Which lighting effects are active depends on the platform and graphics settings.
