What is LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga?

LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga brings together the stories of Star Wars Episodes I to VI in a humorous action-adventure. The collection combines the adventures from LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game and LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy with additional characters, reworked missions and new challenges.

Instead of realistic combat, the focus is on easy-to-play battles, puzzles and switching between heroes and villains. Locations and vehicles are built from LEGO bricks, which can be rebuilt during many missions.

Platforms

The original console versions were released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii. There is also an adapted Nintendo DS version, the PC version, and ports for iOS and Android. A macOS version was released later as well.

Xbox One and Xbox Series can run the Xbox 360 version via backward compatibility, if applicable. This does not create separate versions for these consoles. The newer LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a different game.

Gameplay

In the levels, Jedi, droids and other characters fight enemies, collect LEGO studs and use their special abilities to open new paths. The Force can move objects, while droids open technical access points and other characters hit distant targets.

The collection also reworks vehicle sections from the older games. The Mos Espa podrace and the gunship mission are among the redesigned sequences that focus more on freely steerable vehicles.

DLCs and expansions

In addition to the film story, the collection offers new challenge modes, improved Force abilities and ten bounty hunter missions. These tasks extend the game beyond the original story levels and reward unlocking more characters.

Free play lets you revisit missions you've already completed with other characters and unlock previously inaccessible areas.

System requirements

The Windows version dates from a time well before current gaming PCs. Steam lists the minimum processor as an Intel Pentium III at 1.0 GHz or a comparable AMD Athlon XP, a graphics card with 128 MB of memory and Shader Model 2.0, and 5 GB of free disk space.

The original OS specifications refer to Windows XP and Vista. Today's Steam client no longer supports these systems and requires at least Windows 10.

The details apply to PC.

More than 120 playable characters

More than 120 characters from six Star Wars films are playable, including Jedi, Sith, droids and supporting characters. These also include Watto, Zam Wesell and Boss Nass.

The character editor lets you combine parts of different figures. This creates custom LEGO heroes whose appearance is made up of elements from both film trilogies.

Game series

The Complete Saga retells the prequel trilogy and the classic Star Wars trilogy in the typical LEGO style. It builds on the two games from 2005 and 2006 and combines their story into one complete game.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens, by contrast, focuses on Episode VII. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga from 2022 covers all nine films and is a standalone reinterpretation.
