Port Desire

Port Desire is a vertically built port city between industry, dense housing, neon and lots of greenery. The team deliberately focuses on density rather than sheer size. In the current developer interview, creative director Tor Frick describes the city as a self-contained microcosm that brings together different social and architectural influences.

Reactive world

A core promise is a world that reacts to actions. Official descriptions mention lasting consequences, alternative routes and combinable systems. The new developer interview reinforces this philosophy: players should be able to solve situations creatively instead of only following a set path.

Development and scope

Neon Giant is developing NO LAW with a team of around 24 people. Port Desire is therefore deliberately designed around density, vertical paths and exploration on foot. Drivable vehicles were ruled out early because faster movement would require a much larger game world.
