Missions allow several approaches: Jensen can fight openly, bypass security systems, take out enemies unnoticed, or reach his goal by alternative routes. Exploration, dialogue and your choices on technical upgrades determine which options are available to him in a given situation. The campaign is designed for single-player.

Sneaking, fighting and choices

Hiding spots, cover, air vents and technical access points let you move through guarded areas without open gunfire. If you prefer a direct approach, you can upgrade weapons and combat abilities. The game supports different playstyles instead of a single fixed solution for every mission.

Hacking and security systems

Using Jensen's technical skills, you can hack terminals and secured systems. This opens up alternative routes, extra information and ways to bypass security systems. Hacking stands alongside social skills, exploration and combat as a separate way to solve problems.

Jensen's augmentations

Jensen's mechanical implants expand his abilities, for example in sneaking, movement or combat. Upgrading requires choices, because not every improvement can be the focus at the same time. This means the same task can play out differently depending on your equipment and playstyle.

What is Breach mode?

Breach is an additional single-player mode with virtual infiltration tasks. Instead of continuing the main story, you try to complete set challenges as efficiently as possible. The abstractly designed environments and scoring set it apart from Jensen's narrative campaign.
