The video camera and night vision
The camera is Miles' most important tool in the dark. Its night vision makes dimly lit rooms and dangers visible, but it drains power from batteries. Because batteries are limited, you need to use night vision deliberately and search your surroundings carefully.

Stealth instead of combat
Miles has no conventional weapons. To survive encounters, you watch movement patterns, hide and take chances to escape. Danger often arises simply because a door or a narrow passage offers only brief protection.

The rooms of the asylum
Mount Massive consists of interconnected hospital areas, dark hallways and locked rooms. The game world alternates between searching for a way forward and frantic escape sections. The building and its inhabitants tell part of the story directly through the environment.

Documents and clues
Miles investigates what happened at Mount Massive as a journalist. Documents and observations he finds give his stay at the hospital a wider context and make the role of the Murkoff corporation clearer. Anyone who wants to uncover the whole story should search the area off the direct path.
