The PC version was released in January 2017. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One followed in the same release period. In June 2022, Capcom released native versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S with technical improvements.

In 2024, a version for compatible iPhone, iPad and Mac devices was added. On Feb 27, 2026, a native Nintendo Switch 2 version followed as Gold Edition.

Gameplay

The game combines exploration, inventory management, key items and environmental puzzles. The first-person perspective changes the presentation compared to older series entries, while familiar elements such as limited resources and interconnected locations are retained.

New items open previously inaccessible areas, gradually expanding the game world.

DLCs and expansions

The Gold Edition bundles the main game with the expansions Banned Footage Vol. 1, Banned Footage Vol. 2 and End of Zoe. The additional chapter Not a Hero was released separately for free to owners of the main game.

The additional content expands the story and game modes and permanently belongs to the full release scope of the Gold Edition.
