Ova Magica

Ova Magica combines a farming simulation with collecting and training small creatures called Blobs. Your character moves to Clover Town, takes over an overgrown farm and rebuilds it piece by piece. Farming, friendships and battles interlock.

Blobs help with farm work, can be bred and accompany your character on trips to other worlds. The single-player adventure was developed by ClaudiaTheDev and Skinny Frog and is published by Top Hat Studios.

The full PC version released on May 28, 2026 on Steam. Before that, Ova Magica had been available in Early Access since Jul 23, 2024.

The console versions release on Nov 10, 2026 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. Publisher Top Hat Studios confirmed the date on Nov 2, 2026, after several delays.

Ova Magica is available for PC. From Nov 10, 2026, native versions for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 will be added.

The Switch 2 version was specially adapted for the new Nintendo console. It is not merely the Switch version running in backward compatibility mode.

In Clover Town, your character works fields, collects materials, crafts items and decorates their house. Daily life also includes fishing, catching insects and trips into the surroundings.

Conversations, gifts and shared experiences deepen your relationships with the residents. Some contacts develop into romances. As trust grows, new events and places open up.

On Windows, Ova Magica requires at least 8 GB RAM, an Intel Core i3 processor or a comparable model, an Nvidia GTX 660 or AMD Radeon R9 270, and DirectX 11. According to Steam, at least 2 GB of free storage space is needed.

Recommended: 16 GB RAM, an Intel i5-7300 or AMD Ryzen 3 3300U, and an Nvidia GTX 900 Series graphics card or comparable hardware.

Blobs hatch from eggs and have different abilities. They help with work on the farm, among other things. Players feed and look after their companions and can cross different Blobs to get new combinations.

In battle, your own team faces wild Blobs and other trainers. The system uses an active timeline, where choosing attack and defence matters just as much as suitable abilities.

Outside Clover Town, portals lead to unfamiliar areas and dungeons. There, players find rare eggs, materials and treasure. The paths change between visits. At the end, especially strong Blob opponents await.

Raw materials from the garden, mining and the surroundings are processed at workbenches. New blueprints unlock furniture, tools and machines for the farm. The farm grows alongside your exploration of the game world.

The PC version offers on-screen text in German, English, French, Japanese, Spanish and simplified Chinese. Ova Magica is a single-player game and supports controllers.

Ova Magica is a project by ClaudiaTheDev and Skinny Frog. Top Hat Studios is publishing it. After the 2024 Early Access, the full PC version followed in May 2026. The console launch was postponed several times before Nov 10, 2026 was confirmed.
