Persona 3 Reload

Persona 3 Reload is the modern re-release of Atlus' role-playing game Persona 3. The protagonist transfers to Gekkoukan High School on Tatsumi Port Island and soon discovers the Dark Hour, a hidden hour between two calendar days. Together with S.E.E.S., he faces the Shadows and the Tower Tartarus.

Reload keeps the core of school life, relationships and turn-based battles, but reimagines the original with new graphics, a revised user interface, additional voice acting and modernized quality-of-life features.

Persona 3 Reload was released worldwide on Feb 2, 2024 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Atlus developed the remake, and SEGA published it.

A native version for Nintendo Switch 2 followed on Oct 23, 2025. There are currently six native versions.

Persona 3 Reload is natively available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. The Switch 2 version came out later than the other versions and is a standalone native release for Nintendo's current console.

The game flow combines a school life organized by calendar with exploring Tartarus. Outside the Dark Hour, the player decides how to spend their time on Port Island, while in Tartarus a group of Persona users fights Shadows.

Battles are turn-based. Party formation, enemy weaknesses and Persona fusion define the tactical core, while building up Personas and relationships has a long-term effect on combat options.

The Persona 3 Reload: Expansion Pass adds to the base game in three waves. Alongside additional music and costume sets, it includes Episode Aigis -The Answer-, an extensive epilogue with Aigis as the playable lead character and the Abyss of Time as a new story and dungeon location.

Atlus describes Episode Aigis as an additional story scenario with more than 30 hours of new gameplay. The third wave of the Expansion Pass was released in September 2024. For Nintendo Switch 2, Episode Aigis was offered together with the Switch 2 version on Oct 23, 2025.

On PC, Persona 3 Reload requires at least Windows 10, 8 GB RAM, a GeForce GTX 650 Ti or Radeon HD 7850 with 2 GB VRAM and 30 GB of free storage. For 1080p at high settings and 60 FPS, Steam lists a Core i7-4790 or Ryzen 5 1400 plus a GeForce GTX 1650 or Radeon R9 290X with 4 GB VRAM.

Every day outside Tartarus is part of long-term planning. Classes, leisure activities and encounters with characters on Port Island compete for the same limited time. Relationships are deepened through Social Links and, together with daily activities, form the second main pillar alongside dungeon progress.
