Sniper Elite 4

Sniper Elite 4 is a tactical stealth action game by Rebellion. In 1943, Karl Fairburne operates in Italy and supports the resistance in large, openly designed mission areas.

The focus is on observation, positioning and multiple ways to complete objectives. Enemies can be marked and patrols bypassed, while different routes lead through the mission areas.

The PC version was released on Feb 13, 2017. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One followed in the same release window. A native Nintendo Switch version was released on Nov 17, 2020; later, a separate Apple version followed for supported iPhone and iPad devices.

Native versions are available for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and iOS. The Switch version is a native port. The Apple version was developed separately for supported iPhone and iPad devices.

PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series are not listed here as separate native versions, as only the older console versions are playable via compatibility.

The campaign focuses on large, openly designed mission areas. Players observe patrols, mark enemies, find suitable positions and combine stealth, distractions, traps and direct confrontations.

At long range, the ballistics model takes into account factors such as distance, wind, gravity and heart rate. The well-known X-Ray kill cam shows particularly precise hits.

The larger additional content includes the three-part Deathstorm campaign. Also released were the Target Führer mission as well as additional character and equipment packs.

This content expands the base game but remains separate DLC products and is not treated as a separate platform version of the main game.

Steam lists at least an Intel Core i3-2100, 4 GB RAM and a Radeon HD 7870 or GeForce GTX 660 with 2 GB. Recommended are an Intel Core i7-3770, 8 GB RAM and a GeForce GTX 970 or Radeon RX 480.

On PC, the entire campaign can be played online with a partner. Additional co-op modes support up to four players, while competitive multiplayer offers matches with up to twelve players.

The Switch version supports local multiplayer for two to four players and online matches for two to eight players, according to Nintendo.

The Apple version brings the full single-player campaign to supported iPhones and iPads. It supports touch controls and compatible controllers, as well as cross-progression between supported Apple devices.

Rebellion explicitly does not include co-op or multiplayer mode for this port, so its scope differs from the PC and console versions.
