SONIC PICO PARK

SONIC PICO PARK combines the cooperative 2D puzzle principle of PICO PARK with characters and movement mechanics from Sonic's game world. To complete a stage, players must reach the goal area together. The obstacles are designed for teamwork: simply sprinting alone is not enough.

PICO CAT meets Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy. The standalone crossover is developed by TECOPARK, and Steam lists PICO PARK Inc. as publisher. The Sonic brand comes from SEGA. Despite the familiar characters, it is not a classic single-player Sonic adventure.

The publisher gives Nov 12, 2026 as the planned release date. Nintendo explicitly confirms this date for Switch and Switch 2. PC, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S are also on the official platform list.

Some regional stores, including Steam, show Nov 11.

SONIC PICO PARK is announced for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Steam lists Windows and macOS as supported PC operating systems. The Xbox Store page explicitly lists both Xbox generations, and Nintendo announces separate Switch and Switch 2 versions.

The native Switch 2 announcement is more than just a note about backward compatibility. Differences in unlock times or online subscriptions depend on the respective platform.

SONIC PICO PARK is a cooperative 2D action puzzle game. Two to eight players move together through side-scrolling levels. At the end, the group must reach the goal area. Success depends on all participants coordinating their movements and handling obstacles.

The Spin Dash and elements such as rings, loops and springs, known from the Sonic series, change the way through the tasks. The announcement promises collaboration instead of individual best times. A specific number of levels or additional game modes has not yet been officially quantified.

Steam lists Windows 11 (64-bit) and an Intel Core i5 as the minimum Windows requirements. For macOS, Sonoma and an Apple M1 or Intel processor are listed. No other binding hardware values are given there.

All playable characters get the Spin Dash. The levels also feature rings, loops and springs from the Sonic series. The speed and correct positioning of the entire group thus become part of the tasks.

The shared Spin Dash is confirmed. The developers have therefore not automatically promised a unique ability set for each character or separate character campaigns.

The online co-op supports crossplay. The Xbox Store explicitly lists cross-platform multiplayer matches, so playing together is not limited to one console family.

On PC, according to the developer, up to seven people can join an online game together on the same computer. For online games on PS5 and Xbox, the membership terms of the platform operators may apply.

TECOPARK presents SONIC PICO PARK as a group game for two to eight people. Playing together on the same device as well as online is intended. According to the official description, the content can be experienced with any supported group size.

Although the PS5 product page lists one to eight local users in a general metadata line, the publisher describes the puzzles as cooperative tasks for two or more people. A full solo mode is therefore not explicitly confirmed.

The PlayStation Store lists alternative color display options, separate volume control and basic controller remapping for the PS5 version. Playing does not require motion or touch controls, vibration or adaptive triggers.

A form of Quick Chat with predefined words and symbols is also listed. These details apply explicitly to the PlayStation Store version. This does not automatically mean the same feature set on all other platforms.

Steam lists 14 languages for the user interface, including German, English, French, Italian, Japanese and Korean. A full German voice dub is therefore not confirmed.

The language options of the console versions should be considered separately from PC menus, subtitles and audio tracks.

The official new trailer confirms Silver and Blaze as playable characters. Alongside them, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy and other well-known figures are part of the lineup. According to the developer description, all playable characters can use the Spin Dash. Other individual abilities are therefore not automatically confirmed.

Steam lists TECOPARK as developer and PICO PARK Inc. as publisher. SEGA takes part in the crossover as rights holder of the Sonic brand. The official announcement was published in June 2026 around Sonic's 35th anniversary.

The project uses the basic rules of PICO PARK and integrates recognizable Sonic movements into the collaboration. A new regular main entry in the Sonic series is therefore not announced.
