Sun Haven

Sun Haven is a fantasy role-playing game set around your own farm. You plant vegetables, build structures and explore a world with monsters, magic and dragons. Alongside daily life on the farm, there are tasks, dungeons and the residents' personal stories.

Your character develops not only through better tools. Different abilities also change how fast you grow crops, how you fight in the wild and which resources you gather.

Sun Haven has been available as a full PC version since Mar 10, 2023. Before that, Early Access on Steam began on Jun 25, 2021.

The Nintendo Switch version was released in Germany on Dec 16, 2024. Both versions are standalone native releases.

Sun Haven is out on PC and Nintendo Switch. On PC, online co-op and Steam features are part of the game. Nintendo, however, lists one player per console for Switch.

The Switch download takes up around 2.6 GB and supports handheld, tabletop and TV mode as well as the Pro Controller and touchscreen. A standalone Switch 2 version has not been announced.

Your day can consist of field work, mining, fishing, cooking or adventures. Alongside plants and animals, monster battles, quests and character development form a second focus.

The game relies less on one optimal daily schedule than on different progression paths. If you prefer nurturing relationships or furnishing your house, you can spend many hours away from combat.

On Steam there are numerous optional packs with pets, mounts, costumes and decorations, as well as soundtracks sold separately. Most of these purchases do not change the core storyline.

The additional items should be distinguished from the play areas, quests and core features of the full game. A Steam bundle is not a separate platform version.

On PC, Sun Haven is available both as a single-player adventure and with online co-op. Steam supports cloud saves and achievements; the store page points to controller support.

On Switch you can switch between handheld, tabletop and TV mode. The Pro Controller is supported, as are touchscreen features.

You design several farms, plant seasonal crops and keep ordinary or fantastical animals. The four seasons change what you can grow.

More than 40 workbenches are used for cooking, smithing and crafting equipment, gifts or furnishings. Furniture and decorations can be combined individually.

Magic abilities complement tools and weapons. Talent trees allow specializations in farming, crafting, combat and other activities.

Through character development you can decide whether to focus mainly on expanding your farm or on quests and combat.

Exploration takes you through Sun Haven and the other regions Nel’Vari, Withergate and Brinestone Deeps. Different places offer their own characters, tasks, materials and customization options.

The story around the town is linked to these regions. At the same time, gathering, building and developing your own character remain activities in their own right.

When creating your character, seven playable fantasy peoples are available to choose from. You can customize your appearance and strengthen your preferred playstyle through abilities.

Conversations, gifts, tasks and romantic relationships give residents a place in daily farm life. Some encounters develop into longer personal stories.

The PC version supports online co-op with up to eight players. Together you can organize farm work, exploration and adventures.

Nintendo's product description lists only one player for the Switch version. PC co-op therefore cannot be transferred to the console version.

Sun Haven offers German on-screen text. The PC version lists 15 supported text languages on Steam, including English, French, Italian and Japanese.
