SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada

SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada is a sci-fi extraction shooter from Game Studio Inc. and Bandai Namco Entertainment. As Drifters, players explore the ruined surface of Amasia in a customisable CRADLECOFFIN mech, recover AO crystals and are supported by an AI partner called Magus.

The original online version combines PvE dangers with encounters against other Drifters. In addition, the Amasia Collapse Investigation Missions offer a more story-driven PvE area centred on Alba and Ada.

SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada was released in full on Jan 24, 2025. On Sep 26, 2026, Bandai Namco announced it will end the current online service from May 2027 and then continue the game as an offline version. The exact date for ending online operations is to be announced in March 2027.

New content and online events are set to end after the measures planned for October 2026. For existing owners, the offline version is planned as a free update.

The game has launched natively for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. The announced offline switch is also meant to be open to owners of physical versions: according to Bandai Namco's current plan, the offline version can continue to be played with the respective game disc and the necessary update data.

In the online game, Drifters bring their CRADLECOFFIN to the surface, collect AO crystals and other resources, and must then return to the bunker alive. If a sortie fails, they risk their equipped mech parts, weapons and loot. Magus companions provide hints, warnings and their own abilities, while other players can be allies or enemies depending on the situation.

CRADLECOFFINs can be customised for different missions using components and weapons; resources from successful sorties also go towards expanding the underground bunker.

With the end of the online service, SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada is set to continue as a standalone version without the online-dependent features. According to the current status, existing owners do not need to buy the game again.

If you want to carry over your existing progress, you must go online during a planned transfer period and move your server data into a local save. Bandai Namco plans to add the necessary save function in December 2026. Without this step, the offline version starts with a new save. Selected progress data, as well as the Magus outfits, CRADLECOFFIN and weapon skins intended for this, are expected to be transferable.

Sales of SYN COINS end on Dec 18, 2026 at 0:00 Japan time. According to the current FAQ, there is no refund for unused paid SYN COINS; coins already purchased each have their existing usage period.
