What is The Crew Motorfest?
The Crew Motorfest is an open-world racing game from Ubisoft Ivory Tower that stages a permanently expanded festival of car culture on the Hawaiian islands. Players collect vehicles, drive themed playlists and switch between street racing, off-road, motorsport, motorcycles, boats and planes.
The open world began on Oʻahu and has since been expanded with more islands and activities through the ongoing Seasons. Motorfest combines solo campaigns with live events, PvP and a long-term vehicle collection.

Gameplay
Motorfest organizes many of its contents through Playlists: short, themed campaigns with their own vehicles, races, challenges and set pieces. There is also free exploration, weekly Summit events, Grand Races, other PvP formats and a constantly growing vehicle collection.
The vehicle range runs from classic road cars and hypercars to motorcycles, boats and planes. With TrackForge, players can also design their own race tracks and event structures and share them with the community.

Year 4 and Season 11
Year 4 began on Oct 7, 2026 with Season 11. The biggest free expansion is the new island Kauaʻi, with a stronger focus on exploration and off-road driving. Also added were the grapple winch for selected vehicles, animal species in the open world, new discovery routes and vehicles such as the Bugatti Tourbillon.
The optional Year 4 Pass includes 21 vehicles spread over the year, plus the paid DLC Tomb Raider: Secrets of Niʻihau. On Nintendo Switch 2, the Year 4 Pass was not yet available at native launch. The separately sold Tomb Raider expansion, however, is available there.

Kauaʻi
Kauaʻi expands the freely drivable world of Motorfest for free. Ubisoft describes the island as more remote and wilder than the previous areas, with dense swamps, rough off-road terrain and the Red Canyon.
The free playlist Kauaʻi Expeditions introduces the area and the new grapple winch. It can clear obstacles and move cargo during special activities. In addition, Season 11 expands exploration across all islands with new routes and photographable animal species.

Tomb Raider: Secrets of Niʻihau
Tomb Raider: Secrets of Niʻihau is a separately sold premium expansion for Motorfest. It came out on Oct 7, 2026 and opens up Niʻihau for owners of the Year 4 Pass or the individual DLC pack. On Switch 2 it has been available since Oct 8. The playlist, developed with Crystal Dynamics, follows Lara Croft's search for Jonah. Instead of pure racing, the focus is on exploration, environmental puzzles and the grapple winch. Five exclusive vehicles are included. The free neighbouring island Kauaʻi should not be confused with the paid DLC.

TrackForge and the other Year 4 seasons
TrackForge gets the Pure Dirt off-road kit with Season 11. In addition, Ivory Tower is working on a PvP mode that lets players race directly against each other on community tracks; no date has been set yet.
Season 12 is announced for January 2027 and focuses on car cultures from Japan, China and South Korea. Season 13 follows in April 2027 and introduces a new vehicle category, semi-trucks, along with ride-service activities such as taxi and limousine missions.

Nintendo Switch 2: Online requirement, cross-save and differences
The native Switch 2 version came out on Oct 8, 2026. Ubisoft lists 1080p at 30 frames per second for both handheld and TV mode. A permanent internet connection and a Ubisoft account are required. Nintendo Switch Online is also required for multiplayer features.
Save games and progress can be carried over between supported platforms via your Ubisoft account. However, content bought earlier in other stores does not transfer. This version does not offer full crossplay: only selected competitions and leaderboards can be shared across platforms, including Grand Race, Demolition Royale and Summit Contest. Community tracks from TrackForge are shared across platforms.
At launch, Year Passes 1 to 3 and several expansions are available, including Tomb Raider: Secrets of Niʻihau. According to Ubisoft, the Year 4 Pass and separate vehicle packs are initially missing. Free Trial, Friend Pass and importing vehicles from The Crew 2 are not available on Switch 2.
