Gameplay

What matters in TopSpin 2K25 is when and how a shot is played. A timing indicator helps you hit the ball, while the new serve mechanic allows targeted placement. Position relative to the ball, racket choice and playing style shape the rallies.

The pros partly have their own animations for forehand, backhand and serve. Clay, grass and hard court also differ visually: on clay, sliding marks remain, while on grass the surface changes over the course of the tournament.

DLCs and expansions

The Deluxe Edition expands the base game with, among other things, the Under the Lights Pack, the New Wave Pack and the Rookie Rise Pack. The Grand Slam Edition includes additional extras and the All Access Pass for six Premium Centre Court Pass seasons.

Centre Court Passes add cosmetic items, outfits and other unlockable rewards. They are add-on content for TopSpin 2K25 and not standalone tennis games. A regular Standard Edition is enough for the base game.

In MyCAREER you build your own MyPLAYER and work your way up in the tennis world. The career leads through various tournaments up to the Australian Open, Roland-Garros, Wimbledon and the US Open. Progress lets you improve attributes such as serve, volley and backhand.

Coaches, equipment and the player's support staff are part of long-term development. Four basic playstyles – all-rounder, offensive baseline, defensive baseline and serve-and-volley – form the basis for different ways of playing.
