What is Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun Boom?

Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun Boom is a standalone mobile adaptation of the retro shooter Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun. Nitro Games brings the campaigns and the fast boomer shooter feel to smartphones, but does not use a simple 1:1 port. Controls, interface and individual game mechanics are specifically adapted for mobile devices.

Players once again take on the role of a Space Marine and fight their way through cultists, traitors and demons. At launch, the campaigns Graia and Forges of Corruption are included.

Gameplay

Boltgun Boom remains a fast first-person shooter with retro visuals, high movement speed and heavy Warhammer weapons. Nitro Games names speed, intensity and the direct weapon impact as the core elements that should be kept on mobile.

To do this, touch controls, aiming and combat flow were specifically adjusted. According to Nitro Games, Auroch Digital was closely involved in the implementation and provided feedback, assets and support, so that the mobile version still feels like Boltgun despite its own control logic.
