Story around Flann Sinna and the kings
Eivor supports High King Flann Sinna in uniting the rival Gaelic rulers. Political alliances shape part of the story, while the Cult of the Children of Danu exerts influence in the background. Historical figures and motifs from Irish legend meet in the story.

The Cult of the Children of Danu
The Children of Danu form an additional enemy group, whose identities Eivor uncovers. The fight against the cult leads through dark forests and to new enemy types. Irish mythology shapes the atmosphere, characters and encounters, without replacing the historical alliance system.

Trading posts and Dublin's growth
Eivor captures trading posts and invests the resources it plunders into expanding them. The stations produce goods for Dublin's trade and unlock new trading options. This gives exploration a longer-term goal beyond the main story: a growing network instead of isolated raids.

New weapons and abilities
Sickles add a new melee weapon that Eivor can also wield two-handed. New abilities include arrows with smoke bomb effects and the option to send Irish hunting dogs against enemies. The expansion thus adds both direct attacks and tactical options.

When can the expansion be started?
The Ireland journey becomes accessible after arriving in England and completing one of the story arcs around Grantebridgescire or Ledecestrescire. According to Ubisoft, a specific power level is not required. Prior knowledge of the English main story helps in understanding Eivor's role, but a completed main game is not required.
