The Flow system

Flow is the movement-based core of the duels. Characters can use it to advance quickly, dodge and change their position relative to the opponent. As a result, a successful combo depends not only on the input sequence but also on where and when an attack starts.

Energy and Super Arts

During a fight, characters collect energy points. This resource enables enhanced special moves and especially elaborate Super Arts. If you spend your energy right away, you give up later options. The game mechanics therefore reward both good timing and careful use of available resources.
