Call of Duty: Black Ops 6

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is a first-person shooter from Treyarch and Raven Software. The campaign is set in the early 1990s, in a world shaped by intelligence operations, betrayal and the end of the Cold War. Alongside the single-player campaign, a competitive multiplayer mode and the return of round-based Zombies are central to the game.

Black Ops 6 was released on Oct 25, 2024. At launch, the campaign, multiplayer and Zombies were available. On Xbox and PC, the game was among the supported Game Pass offers from day one.

Black Ops 6 was released natively for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. On PC, the game is available via Steam, among others.

Black Ops 6 uses what is called Omnimovement: sprinting, sliding and diving are possible in all directions and can be chained together smoothly. The movement system shapes both the campaign and multiplayer. Classic loadouts, Gunsmith, Perks, Wildcards and Scorestreaks complement the fast gunplay.

On PC, Black Ops 6 requires at least Windows 10 64-bit, 8 GB RAM and a DirectX 12-capable graphics card. Activision lists, among others, Ryzen 5 1400 or Core i5-6600 and Radeon RX 470, GeForce GTX 960 or Intel Arc A580 as the minimum level. The recommended configuration assumes 12 GB RAM and more powerful CPUs and GPUs.

The campaign takes the Black Ops story into the early 1990s. Frank Woods and a team of former allies become targets of a secret power that reaches into the CIA. The missions combine large firefights with infiltration, dialogue, exploration and covert operations.

Multiplayer launched with 16 new maps: twelve core 6v6 maps and four more compact Strike maps. Omnimovement is the core movement system, complemented by Create-a-Class, Gunsmith, Combat Specialties, Wildcards, Map Voting, Theater Mode and other classic Black Ops systems.

With Black Ops 6, Round-Based Zombies returned in full. At launch, Terminus and Liberty Falls were available. The Dark Aether storyline continues with characters from Requiem; classic rounds, Perks, weapon upgrades, Exfil and extensive main and side quests form the core of the co-op mode.
