Hell is Us

Hell is Us is a third-person action adventure from Rogue Factor. It is set in Hadea, an isolated land shaped at the same time by a civil war and a mysterious catastrophe. The protagonist Rémi returns there to find answers about his past and encounters supernatural beings against which modern weapons are ineffective.

The game combines a semi-open world with melee combat, exploration and deliberately restrained user guidance. Instead of working through tasks via a classic mission log, the environment itself is meant to give hints about where to go next.

Hell is Us was released on Sept 4, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The Nintendo Switch 2 version was announced later and, after several date changes, was most recently set for Oct 27, 2026.

The first major content update for the versions already released is also set to arrive on the same day. Rogue Factor originally planned this update together with the Switch 2 launch for Oct 8; the current delay affects both releases.

Hell is Us is released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. On PC, the game is available on Steam, among others. A native Nintendo Switch 2 version is set to follow on Oct 27, 2026.

The Switch 2 version is a standalone native port. Older console generations such as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are not part of the released platform lineup.

Hell is Us deliberately does without map, compass and quest markers. Players must read descriptions, conversations, architecture and other clues to work out goals and routes themselves. The world is semi-open and combines larger exploration areas with more guided sections.

In combat, Rémi uses swords, spears and axes, among other weapons, as well as the KAPI drone. The supernatural chimeras require different attacks and active interplay between melee and drone abilities. The game is designed entirely as a single-player experience.

On PC, Hell is Us requires at least Windows 10 or 11 64-bit, an Intel Core i7-7700K or AMD Ryzen 3 3300X, 16 GB RAM and a GeForce GTX 1070, Radeon RX 5600 XT or Intel Arc A750. For the recommended configuration, the current PC listing includes, among others, a Core i7-11700K or Ryzen 5 7600, plus a GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, Radeon RX 6750 XT or Intel Arc B580.

For both profiles, around 30 GB of storage space is listed. The recommended configuration calls for an SSD.
