Immortals Fenyx Rising: Myths of the Eastern Realm

Myths of the Eastern Realm is the second story expansion for Immortals Fenyx Rising. The new hero Ku helps the goddess Nüwa restore balance to a world shaken by a celestial catastrophe. Chinese legends shape the story, the locations and the puzzles.

Myths of the Eastern Realm was released on March 25, 2021 for PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. The add-on is part of the three-part Season Pass.

The expansion is available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. To play, you need Immortals Fenyx Rising. The Steam version of the add-on requires the base game on Steam.

Ku explores a standalone world, fights with sword, axe and bow, and solves environmental puzzles. Many skills recall Fenyx's movement abilities, while new enemies, puzzles and the Divine Seal create different challenges.

Myths of the Eastern Realm is the second of three major expansions for Immortals Fenyx Rising. The adventure is included in the Season Pass or available separately. Its story takes place in its own world and does not directly continue Fenyx's storyline.

On PC, the expansion requires at least 8 GB RAM, 33 GB storage and a GeForce GTX 660 or Radeon R9 280X. An Intel Core i5-2400 or AMD FX-6300 is enough according to the minimum requirements. The current Steam client requires Windows 10 or later.

Ku awakens in a world where a huge rift in the sky threatens the order of things. As one of the last humans, he helps the goddess Nüwa fight the consequences of the disaster. On his journey, he meets other figures from Chinese myths, including Gong Gong.

The new puzzles include rotating windmills, movable weights and wall paintings depicting Chinese legends. Some tasks require ringing large bells in the correct order. In the celestial ruins, Ku uses floating clouds and air anchors to cross areas that would otherwise be out of reach.

Ku starts with divine abilities and upgrades his gear during the journey. After completing the expansion, certain cosmetic rewards can also be used in the main game. Weapons and wings also help when exploring the new world.

Ku travels through the blooming Peng Lai and the rocky Bu Zhou. Temples, cloudscapes and Mount Bu Zhou form the settings of his quest. In the surroundings, he discovers puzzles, enemies and clues about the celestial catastrophe.

Successful attacks fill Ku's God Seal. This strengthens his special techniques: the blades of Huang Di can trigger additional flying blades, and the axe of Yan Di creates a fierce wave of fire. The enhancements make combinations and using abilities at the right time important.
