KINGDOM HEARTS HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX

KINGDOM HEARTS HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX is a collection of six early stories from the Kingdom Hearts series by Square Enix and Disney. Four parts are fully playable; 358/2 Days and Re:coded are included as revamped HD cutscenes.

The collection first came out for PlayStation 4, then for Xbox One and PC. On Oct 8, 2026, new native versions were released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. On the Nintendo consoles, the games now run locally instead of through the previous cloud versions.

The new KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I–III] is a separate bundle of HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX, HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue and KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind. On the original Switch, only HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX was released natively from the new bundles.

Native versions are available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The newer versions are standalone platform releases and are not simply derived through backward compatibility.

The collection brings together several action RPG systems from different development phases of the series. Combat runs in real time with a Keyblade, magic, summons and situational abilities. Each game has its own progression and combat systems, from deck commands in Re:Chain of Memories to Command Styles and Deck Commands in Birth by Sleep.

The Steam version requires Windows 10 64-bit. Square Enix lists the minimum as an Intel Core i3-3210 or AMD A8-7600, 4 GB RAM, a GeForce GTX 750 or Radeon RX 460, and 60 GB storage. For 1080p at 60 FPS, 8 GB RAM is recommended with the same CPU and GPU class listed above.

Includes four fully playable titles: KINGDOM HEARTS FINAL MIX, Re:Chain of Memories, KINGDOM HEARTS II FINAL MIX and Birth by Sleep FINAL MIX. Also included are 358/2 Days and Re:coded as HD movie cutscenes. The package bundles six key stories from the early series chronology.

Since Oct 8, 2026, HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX has also been available as a standalone native game for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. This is not mere backward compatibility or a cloud repackaging. Both products include four playable titles and the two HD movie versions from the early series history.

On Switch 2, HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue and KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind are available individually as well as together in the complete bundle. Nintendo offers a free demo of KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind.

The cloud versions of the Kingdom Hearts series previously offered on Nintendo Switch have not been available as new purchases since June 9, 2026. Square Enix names June 9, 2027 as the end date of the current cloud service. Those who own these versions can keep using them until then. After that, their streaming access will no longer be available, according to the published plan.

Owners of the cloud versions can transfer their save data to the matching new digital Nintendo versions. According to Square Enix, previous cloud buyers also get discounted upgrade purchases, but their exact eligibility must be checked in the respective eShop. According to the official press release, a save data transfer from PS4 to PS5 or from Xbox One to Xbox Series is not planned.
