Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition

Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition is the technically revised version of the dark adventure around Six. A little girl tries to find a way out of the huge ship called Schlund, whose adult inhabitants are hunting her. You hide, solve environmental puzzles and use light as a guide.

Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition was released in October 2025. On Steam and the German PlayStation Store it is Oct 9. Bandai Namco gives Oct 10, 2025 for the international release.

The Enhanced Edition is natively available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. The Switch 2 version is offered as the Complete Edition together with the content of Secrets of the Maw. The older Switch version is not this technical re-release.

You control Six through cramped rooms, shafts and corridors and search the surroundings for escape routes. Against the ship's oversized inhabitants, hiding, distractions and timing your run are the main helpers.

The Secrets of the Maw expansion pass adds three chapters: The Depths, The Hideaway and The Residence. On PlayStation they are sold separately for the Enhanced Edition. The Switch 2 Complete Edition bundles additional content with the main game.

On Windows 10 64-bit, the Enhanced Edition requires at least 6 GB RAM, an Intel i3-2100 or AMD FX-4350 and a GTX 650 Ti with 2 GB or Radeon HD 7850 with 2 GB. Storage is listed as 10 GB. For the recommended graphics quality, Steam lists among others an RTX 2070 or RX 6700.

Six wakes up with no memories on a huge, eerie ship. She must escape its inhabitants and comes across rooms where the adults' size and eating habits become a threat.

Six can crawl under furniture, climb up objects and use dark hiding spots. Loud footsteps or careless movement attract pursuers. In some situations, escape is the only option.

Drawers, shelves and lying-around objects open new paths for Six. Puzzles are directly tied to the layout of the rooms. With the small brass lighter flame, you can find your way around even in dark places.

The Enhanced Edition supports up to 4K resolution and 60 frames per second. Reworked lighting, volumetric effects, additional particles and ray-traced reflections change the atmosphere of the ship. Depending on the platform, you can weight quality and performance differently.

The story and core gameplay mechanics are retained. Improved graphics, additional aids and changes to the game flow are meant to make orientation and progress easier. This is not the sequel Little Nightmares II or III.

Save files from the original Little Nightmares cannot be transferred to the Enhanced Edition. The reverse is not possible either. A new playthrough starts regardless of the earlier save.

Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition is a single-player adventure. Six's journey through The Maw has no co-op mode and no online multiplayer campaign.
