Gameplay

Last Light Redux combines linear exploration, shootouts, stealth and survival horror. Two playstyles shift the focus: Survival relies more on scarce resources and a slower pace, Spartan on more direct action. Ranger mode reduces the HUD and aids, and sharpens combat and resource management.

Artyom's search for hope in 2034

Metro: Last Light Redux continues Artyom's story in 2034. In the tunnels, survivors fight over a powerful device from the D6 military facilities. While political groups turn against each other, mutants threaten the residents of the Metro, and the irradiated surface remains deadly.

Artyom's choices shape how the story unfolds. The campaign ties together the conflicts between the human factions with the aftermath of the catastrophe and encounters with alien creatures.

On Microsoft Store, the PC update follows on Oct 29. In this version, existing save games are not carried over to the updated version. Chapter select is unlocked, so individual sections can be started with a preset loadout.
