Monster Hunter Outlanders

Monster Hunter Outlanders is a free mobile action RPG from TiMi Studio Group, officially licensed by CAPCOM. The game brings the hunting of large monsters into an open mobile world and combines familiar weapons with new adventurers, companions and original monsters.

Monster Hunter Outlanders was released on Oct 29, 2026 for iOS and Android. The free action game offers in-app purchases. A release in mainland China is planned only from 2027.

Monster Hunter Outlanders is available for iOS and Android. The smartphone version was designed for touch controls. On Apple devices it requires at least iOS or iPadOS 15. A standalone PC, PlayStation, Xbox or Switch version has not been announced.

At launch, eight weapon types are available: Great Sword, Sword and Shield, Dual Blades, Hammer, Lance, Charge Blade, Heavy Bowgun and Bow. The adventurers have their own abilities and can perform special follow-up attacks with their weapon. For hunts, players gather resources, craft equipment and use their companions.

The setting is the island of Aesoland. Players explore varied landscapes freely, gather resources and craft tools and facilities. Movement tools such as gliders and other crafting devices are part of the open exploration between hunts.

A special feature of Outlanders is Radiant Species: variants of familiar monsters changed by Radiantite, with their own abilities. New creatures such as the Elder Dragon Ruger Aidal also appear.

Hunts can be taken on solo or in groups of up to four players. If you are on your own, you can lead a team of adventurers and buddies. Confirmed companions include Palico, Trillan and Rutaco.

Outlanders combines classic weapons with different adventurers. Midori fights with a longsword hidden in the shamisen, Rhodes uses a heavy hammer, and Luka relies on the bow. The characters take on different roles such as attack, support and interruption. Their special abilities change attack sequences and make team composition important.

Monster Hunter Outlanders offers German on-screen text. The App Store also lists English, French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Spanish and Thai.
