RAGE 2

RAGE 2 is an open-world first-person shooter by Avalanche Studios and id Software. As the Ranger Walker, you explore a post-apocalyptic world and combine fast combat with exploration and vehicle driving.

The story takes you through different regions of the Wasteland. Several groups fight for control of the remaining settlements.

RAGE 2 was released on May 14, 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Avalanche Studios and id Software developed the game for Bethesda Softworks.

RAGE 2 was released as a standalone game for Windows PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Console versions running on newer hardware are not a separate native release.

The PC version supports uncapped frame rates and ultrawide resolutions. Bethesda lists up to 60 frames per second at 1080p for PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.

RAGE 2 combines firearms, Nanotrite abilities and evasive movement. Walker can knock back enemies with special skills, attack from the air and upgrade his equipment.

Outside of missions, you can explore outposts and other locations in the open world. Vehicles allow fast travel and your own street battles.

Rise of the Ghosts was released on September 26, 2019. The first major expansion leads to Overgrown City and adds new missions, the Ghosts faction, the Void ability and the Feltrit laser.

TerrorMania takes you into an alternate version of the Wasteland. The expansion adds new enemies, areas and the Sword of Transitus.

For the PC version, Bethesda lists as minimum requirements an Intel Core i5-3570 or AMD Ryzen 3 1300X, 8 GB RAM, and a GeForce GTX 780 with 3 GB or Radeon R9 280 with 3 GB. 50 GB of free storage space is required.

Recommended: Intel Core i7-4770 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X, and GeForce GTX 1070 with 8 GB or Radeon Vega 56 with 8 GB.

After a raid on his home, Walker travels through a world controlled by rival groups. At the heart of the story is the resistance against the Authority.

The open world includes dry deserts, swampy areas and overgrown regions. Besides the main missions, numerous locations and activities can be visited independently.

Walker's equipment consists of various firearms and Nanotrite abilities. Shatter hurls enemies back, while Slam allows an attack from the air.

In Overdrive mode, your equipment's effects are amplified. Combat depends not only on aiming, but also on skillful use of movement and abilities.

Various vehicles are available in the wasteland. They are used to travel between widely separated areas and enable additional combat on the way.

The game therefore combines free exploration, missions and driving sequences with fights on foot.

RAGE 2 is a single-player game. On Steam, the PC version supports achievements and cloud saves. A competitive online multiplayer mode is not part of the base game.

German and English voice audio as well as subtitles are available for the PC version.

The PC version offers a field of view slider and settings for HUD, crosshair, motion blur and depth of field. Ultrawide monitors are also supported, including 21:9 and 32:9.

On the more powerful console models PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, Bethesda cites up to 60 FPS at 1080p.
