Remothered: Broken Porcelain Remastered

Remothered: Broken Porcelain Remastered is the Unreal Engine 5 remake of the second chapter of the Remothered saga. Stormind Games modernises lighting, environments, characters, cutscenes and the user interface, while the original mechanics, balance and build-up of tension are meant to be retained.

The setting is the Ashmann Inn. There, the characters' secrets are closely tied to the so-called Stalkers and the history of the hotel; survival requires observation, resource management, hiding and targeted distraction.

Broken Porcelain Remastered is due in Q1 2027. Stormind Games has not yet announced an exact date.

For buyers of the digital original, the same upgrade rule applies as with the first remaster: within the first seven days after release, the Remastered Edition is to be available at no extra cost on the supported digital platforms. Physical copies and copies received for free do not count.

Broken Porcelain Remastered is announced for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. Steam lists the PC version; PlayStation is releasing a native PS5 version and Microsoft a version optimised for Xbox Series X|S.

Broken Porcelain combines stealth, exploration, limited resources and situations where fleeing or a direct counterattack must be weighed against each other. The Ashmann Inn is built as a connected hazard zone: players search for items, solve puzzles embedded in the environment and must judge the Stalkers' movements.

Stormind does not want to rebalance this feel. Gameplay, mechanics and the core tension of the original are meant to remain untouched in the Remastered Edition.

The Remastered Edition switches completely from Unreal Engine 4 to Unreal Engine 5. Stormind mentions Lumen lighting, higher-resolution environment assets, refined character models, modernised in-engine cutscenes and a newly designed UI and menu system.

Legacy bugs are to be fixed without rewriting the original gameplay. The goal is a technically more stable and visually more consistent version of the existing game.

The Ashmann Inn is the central location of Broken Porcelain. Its corridors, rooms and side areas serve not only as scenery but as playing space for chases, hiding spots, resource routes and puzzles. The Stalkers guard the secrets tied to the hotel, while the story gradually explains how the characters and events connect to the wider Remothered story.
