What is Remothered: Tormented Fathers?
Remothered: Tormented Fathers is a psychological survival horror game told from the pursuer's perspective. You accompany Rosemary Reed, who searches the remote mansion of former notary Richard Felton for clues about his missing daughter. In the house, the interrogation quickly turns into a dangerous cat-and-mouse game. Instead of fighting with a large arsenal of weapons, you have to hide, plan your routes and watch the movements of your pursuers.

Gameplay
In the house, you explore interconnected rooms, search for clues and solve puzzles. Pursuers can cross your path or chase you through several rooms. You use hiding spots, distractions and limited items to gain distance. Paying attention to the sounds around you and the enemies' movements gives you a better chance than reckless running.

Rosemary Reed's search for Celeste
Rosemary Reed enters the villa of former notary Richard Felton to investigate the disappearance of his daughter Celeste. The householder, who is in poor health, grows increasingly hostile toward her questions. Soon Rosemary must not only follow traces but also secure her own survival in the building's rooms. The story relies on gradual revelations rather than an immediate solution to the case.

Richard Felton's villa
The estate is the most important setting in the game. Locked entrances, narrow corridors and interconnected rooms determine how you can get to safety from danger. You have to revisit places and use new ways to explore. The house itself thus becomes an essential part of the tension.

Pursuers, hiding spots and distractions
Enemies react to Rosemary's movements and can chase her into other parts of the house. You can break their line of sight, take a detour or distract them with objects. An attack is often just a way to gain time to escape. The focus is on weighing careful exploration against quick decisions under pressure.

Puzzles and clues
The investigation leads to documents, objects and connections that gradually reveal more about the Felton family. Puzzles are built into the believable environment and alternate with chase scenes. Whoever searches rooms carefully gradually understands the background of the disappearance better.

Sound as a survival aid
Remothered uses three-dimensional sound so you can better judge how close and in which direction pursuers are. Footsteps and other signals are important warnings. The music by Nobuko Toda and Luca Balboni heightens the unsettling atmosphere, while quiet moments draw your attention to individual sounds.

Survival without a classic health bar
The game does without a permanently visible life indicator. Instead of a numerical value, you have to keep an eye on Rosemary's condition and her reactions. As a result, dangers are less about calculating exact remaining health and more about judging the character's immediate behavior.
