WWE 2K24

WWE 2K24 is the wrestling simulation from Visual Concepts and 2K, featuring a historical WrestleMania Showcase and several single-player and management modes.

The Standard Edition was released on Mar 8, 2024; Deluxe and Forty Years of WrestleMania editions were already available from Mar 5. 2K discontinued digital resale in early 2026. Since Mar 31, 2026, the multiplayer servers have been closed. Locally playable game modes are to be distinguished from these.

WWE 2K24 was released for Windows PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. The console generations have separate native versions, not just backward compatibility. Cross-gen editions delivered both generations on the same platform.

New were Ambulance, Casket, Gauntlet and Special Guest Referee. The Backstage Brawl allows four participants and additional interactive objects. Super Finishers, the Trading Blows minigame and more weapons add to the match action. Well-known rules such as Hell in a Cell, TLC, Extreme Rules and Royal Rumble also returned.

The Season Pass included five follow-up character packs featuring CM Punk, Pat McAfee, Post Malone and Jade Cargill, among others. The Deluxe Edition and the Forty Years of WrestleMania Edition bundled further content such as the Nightmare Family Pack. These packs expand the base game but are not new native platform versions.

In the 2K Showcase of the Immortals, you can replay selected famous WrestleMania matches spanning four decades. Historical encounters and their presentation are the focus here. The mode is a self-contained experience focused on WWE history and should not be confused with the open wrestling world of Universe.

The career consists of two storylines: Undisputed for a male created character and Unleashed for a female one. Both tell different paths through the WWE with rivalries, appearances by well-known superstars and unlockable rewards. MyRISE therefore pursues different goals than the historical WrestleMania Showcase.

In MyGM, you build your own WWE brand, plan shows, manage contracts and compete against other general managers. WWE 2K24 expands the options with more brands, transfers and talent scouting. With Superstar Journey, wrestlers develop through matches and training. The mode requires planning rather than just winning individual matches.

Universe lets you freely design the roster, title holders, weekly shows and major events. Rivalries can be expanded through additional interventions and cutscenes. Tag title matches, Special Guest Referees and Money in the Bank cash-ins give long-term storylines extra options.

The Creation Suite is used to design your own superstars, arenas, entrances, movesets and championships. WWE 2K24 also added customizable referees and fan signs. Locally saved creations must be distinguished from the now-discontinued online offerings for shared community content.

As of Mar 31, 2026, server services for WWE 2K24 ended, according to 2K. Online matches, rankings, card features that require servers and community downloads can therefore no longer be used as originally intended. 2K, however, names local matches, training, Showcase, MyRISE, MyGM and Universe as areas that remain playable. The exact extent of existing DLC content may depend on the respective license.

MyFACTION let players build teams from cards of well-known WWE superstars. It included Persona cards, Faction Wars 2.0 and ranked QuickPlay. The mode was linked to a 2K account and running services. After those were shut down, it should not be understood as a permanently usable offline collection mode.
