Buy cheap Ultima Underworld: The Stygian Abyss key

Ultima Underworld: The Stygian Abyss is regarded as a pioneer of three-dimensional role-playing worlds. The game, released in 1992 by Blue Sky Productions, later known as Looking Glass Studios, puts you in the role of the avatar in the vast caves beneath Britannia. After Baron Almric’s daughter Arial is kidnapped, you are wrongly accused and thrown into the Stygian Abyss. Only someone who finds the missing woman and uncovers the truth can clear their name.

Unlike the classic turn-based Ultima entries, you explore the interconnected labyrinth from a first-person view in real time. You can jump, swim, walk in any direction and look around. Combat with sword and bow, rune magic, conversations with inhabitants, puzzles and hidden paths create an open adventure world. Characters react to your actions, and the automap records discoveries and your own notes.

At the start you define the avatar’s attributes, then you improve skills and manage weapons, food and other items. The underworld is home not only to monsters but also to various groups of people and other beings. Players who explore carefully and resolve conflicts through thought can open up new paths.

Today’s PC edition offers the historical original from 1992, which Electronic Arts also released on Steam on Nov 5, 2026 (App 3067580). The Windows version is also available through the EA app and GOG. The Steam edition uses English as the game language. The 1997 Japanese PlayStation 1 game is a separate native console adaptation with newly designed characters and must not be confused with a PC key.
