A story across two timelines

A phenomenon called Luna Rapacis turns Revenants into dangerous creatures. The Revenant Hunter travels back in time with Lou MagMell to change crucial events and save the present from ruin.

The journeys connect several characters and locations over a span of around a hundred years. Decisions and developments in the past can change the future world.

Partners: Summon or Assimilate

Companions can fight independently alongside your character or merge with the Hunter, boosting their stats and abilities. You can switch between these forms during combat.

Each partner brings special weapons, passive effects and support abilities. The choice therefore adapts to different enemies and fighting styles.

Blood Codes, Formae and Jails

Blood Codes open different focuses for character development. Formae expand your arsenal with special offensive and defensive abilities, while Jails enable the signature drain attacks.

Weapons, Blood Codes and equipment can be combined and upgraded to suit your own fighting style. Switching between different techniques is an important part of battles.

Character editor and photo mode

You can customize your character extensively with settings for physique, hair, face, clothing, accessories and make-up. In special areas such as the hot springs, you can view your own looks and capture them in photo mode.

The character editor is independent of your later combat role. Appearance does not permanently determine the available weapons and Blood Codes.

Single player instead of online co-op

CODE VEIN II is designed as a single-player adventure. Instead of a second human player, the AI-controlled partners are at the center of the combat system.

This sets the sequel clearly apart from the first CODE VEIN, which allowed online support from another player.
