DLCs and expansions
Space Marine 2 distinguishes between playable expansions of the base game and cosmetic DLC packs. The Season Passes mainly bundle new armour sets, weapon skins and Champion designs based on well-known Space Marine chapters. The chapters covered include Dark Angels, Space Wolves, Blood Angels and Deathwatch. Some pack content can only be unlocked with requisition points earned in the game.
The three Season Passes are additional purchases and require the base game. They are not standalone versions of Space Marine 2. Extended PvE activities and game systems should be kept separate from them: new modes or missions may appear as free base game content, while a Season Pass mainly expands cosmetic customisation.

Year 3: Chaos Siege, Crucible and Patch 15
Patch 15 marks the start of Year 3 on Oct 1, 2026. Permanent additions include Chaos Siege, in which Heretic Astartes fight Tyranids and loyal forces on Avarax, and Crucible, an endgame PvE activity for classes at level 25. Crucible uses voluntary Penances, its own progression and cosmetic rewards.
Patch 15 also expands the Tactical class with new build options and additional melee weapons, including the Power Sword, Power Axe and the one-handed Thunder Hammer. With Wargear 2.2, capes and tabards are separated more clearly and can be customized.

Operations, classes and progression
Alongside the story-driven single-player campaign, Space Marine 2 offers cooperative Operations. In these, teams complete connected missions against enemy hordes and special threats from the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Playable Space Marine classes differ in gear, combat functions and team role. Long-term unlocked weapons and class skills structure repeat runs of missions.
Progress in Operations and the PvP offering differ from the campaign. The paid cosmetic Orden packs change the character's visual identity but do not replace the Operations classes or the base game.
