NBA 2K23
NBA 2K23 is a basketball simulation by Visual Concepts for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. The game was released on September 9, 2022 with the Jordan Challenge and various NBA and WNBA modes. Since December 31, 2024, the online services have been discontinued; anyone who already owns the game can continue to use the supported offline modes.

Platforms
NBA 2K23 was released as a standalone game for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch. Only on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S did the big city and MyNBA Eras belong to the game. On PS4, Xbox One, Switch and the original PC version, the cruise ship G.O.A.T. Boat served as the setting for the basketball career.
The expanded WNBA career mode The W was also reserved for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S editions. Since late 2024, the areas tied to server services are no longer playable.

The Jordan Challenge includes 15 playable moments from Michael Jordan's career from 1982 to 1998. These include the college championship, early playoffs and the NBA Finals. Historical arenas, jerseys, TV filters and a basketball style adapted to each era shape the games.

MyNBA Eras offers several historical NBA eras on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S as a starting point for your own league. On PC and the older consoles, MyGM and MyLEAGUE handle team management.

Purchase and remaining game modes
NBA 2K23 has not been sold on Steam since Nov 30, 2024. Owners can still play local games in Play Now and supported offline leagues. Training modes and the offline WNBA offerings also remain available.
The online services were shut down on Dec 31, 2024. MyCAREER, MyTEAM and other game areas that rely on servers are therefore no longer playable.
